Since Google just enabled Voice to port your old phone number, guess what I'm doing in 2012. That's right. See you AT&T, it's been awful.

If I'm understanding everything I have read, it seems all I have to do is port my number over to Google Voice for $20, and then find a good carrier to get a data plan for the phone I choose to use (probably T-Mobile). Hopefully I won't be forced into buying any minutes which I do not think will be an issue.

Is this Google making a step towards having their own dedicated phone service in their fight to rule the world? I sure do hope so.
